Playing with Mehron!
Playing with Mehron is ALWAYS a good idea! Since I got my makeup artistry diploma in 2018 I am always looking for good brands to work with. When I worked at Douglas I always tried the newest makeup of the big luxury brands. I loved it and wanted to have it all! Later when I worked at M.A.C. Cosmetics it was like I was working in a candystore. I couldn’t have enough M.A.C. lipsticks and I drawed my way around using their products on their facecharts. An art I discovered a few months earlier with Liza Kondrevich. But I go way of topic now, haha.

Where was I?
O yeah, I was playing with Mehron. Thanks to an ex-collegue of mine I discovered Mehron make-up. Before that I only knew Mehron because of their waterbased face and body paint. I really didn’t know they had such a wide range of very good products! I got so lucky I became there reseller. And I am very proud of it. So I got the change to try all there products.
Make-up training
Ofcourse when I finished my makeup school I didn’t finish growing in makeupping (Is that even a word, haha). Every once in a while I take a course to train my skills. And one of my favorite locations to do that is at Chica Charming in Amsterdam. Here you can go level up! No matter how experienced you are, Angela of Chica Charming challenges you to go further and helps you to take your skills to the next level. So I went there with my beautiful model Claudia.

Statue art training
Because I needed a bit more challenging looks then only a beauty look, I subscribed for the Chica Charming Statue Art training. Angela explained what we were going to do, and after a nice cup of coffee and a cookie (that is a real Dutch thing, haha) we started the workshop. First I made a beautylook on Claudia with M.A.C. Cosmetics products. Then I started with the waterbased products. First a layer of black from Claudia’s chin to cleavage and arms. Then I chose purple and blue to color it up. It was importart not to make a pattern. And I found that very difficult not to do!
Metallic powders. My favorites!
And finally, I got to work with my absolute all time favorite Mehron product: Metallic Powder! You put a tiny bit of the powder in a bowl and you add a few drops of mixing liquid. The powder will be looking a bit like mercury in my opinion. Then you take your brush and paint! The pigments of this products are absolutely perfect. And in my opinion there is no other brand who makes there gold (and silver, bronze, copper etc) better and more glowing like Mehron. Even if you are painting a whole body in gold, my advise is: USE MEHRON METALLIC POWDER!! You can also use it as an eyeliner or do other creative stuff with it. But I made this statue. Here is a photo of my work. I hope you’ll like it as much as me.
